Welcome to HR Forum, a brand new blog designed for human resources professionals, managers, business owners and others involved in the selection, hiring, managing, retaining and developing of employees. The purpose of this blog is to facilitate a rich discussion about these and other HR issues. My goal is to create a community of professionals who share best practices, tips and tricks, questions and problems, insider knowledge and tactics.

Here's how it will work: I will begin each week with a new posting about an issue, be it hiring, retention, the latest and greatest tools of the trade, selection, development or one of a whole host of other topics. I encourage you to add your comments, thoughts and questions in order to create a discussion about the topic at hand. Also, feel free to use the Comments section to bring up new topics you'd like to see discussed or to ask questions you'd like me or the blog community at large to tackle.

I will pull these questions from the Comments section and answer them on the blog, and again, I encourage you to comment and share your thoughts here as well.
